I work on the westbank of New Orleans but being from and living on the eastbank it's a Lil hard for me to find good spots to get food-only because I don't know where to go to get some good ole good ole. One day after work there was this flyer in the car talking about this new spot called
The Fish Bucket...
Today I decided to give it a try the menu was okay lots of fried stuff and they highlighted some products that were 100% Halal (sp?) or kosher.
I wanted a fish plate one of those good ole Friday supper plates- with macaroni and potato salad of course.
My co-worker ordered a hot sausage sandwich after much debate about the halal and regular beef.

we left and came back and our food was ready the hot sausage sandwich was different it was on a hoagie type bun not our usual french bread and was about 7 inches with two pattons patties sliced in half on it. The French fries looked hand cut and had the skin on which is a unusual but welcome change to the norm.
I couldn't help it I stole a fry, about 4 times.
The sandwich was sloppy like a good poboy should and it was gone before we left the car.
